Waterfront Pool~Private Pier~Guest Bungalow~Coastal Escape

This place is amazing!! It’s truly a retreat away from the busyness of everyday life. It’s absolutely beautiful!! We loved sitting outside and listening to the waves hit the bank at night. The pool was definitely enjoyed by the kids. The hosts are responsive and provide great customer service. We will definitely go back!

The place is beautiful. Our family had plenty of room to spread out. Nice cold A/C great to have with this Texas heat. Did some day fishing. Unfortunately we were not able to use the pool.

Cleaning issues were our main concern, and the guest house also had internet problems. Additionally, the pier access was very dangerous due to no steeps, hilly path. The poolside lights were broken and flickering. When we complained, someone called and promised to compensate us, but they never did."

Every year my uncles, brothers, and cousins take a fishing trip — and it’s one of the few times we can all get together — so the location we stay is incredibly important. We have been doing this for over a decade and this property was by far the best. Even before we arrived, the communication from Derek was fantastic and they were incredibly helpful. Their web page made it easy to set up early arrival and departure, though we didn’t need the latter. The views were amazing and from the time we arrived we continued to be impressed by the property. Plenty of parking, all the amenities you would expect — with a hot tub for 4 and a pool. The rooms were spacious and it could have comfortably fit 17 people (though our group was smaller than that). There were PLENTY of extra clean linens and pillows. Hand towels, bath towels, and pool towels were provided and seemed brand new. The house was spotless and there were televisions everywhere…not that we spent much time in front of them. We fished off the dock out back and had plenty of luck with gafftop and black drum — though there was also plenty of hard head and at least one stingray. A great place if you’re in to catch and release. Overall, I give this place my highest recommendation and we look forward to staying there again.
