Walk to Lake Whitney~Fire Pit~BBQ Grill~King Bed

We paid a premium price for a premium listing and when we got there, the grill was filthy, there was no propane and we were told we would be reimbursed if we bought a tank, so we had to drive 15 miles to get propane and then didn't get reimbursed. The kitchen window and stove were filthy, and to top it off, the floor in the kitchen was buckled and warped (not shown on the pictures) from an apparent water leak that had gone ignored. When I confronted the host, they made all kids of excuses and told me I would get my host fee and cost of propane back, but they didn't credit that amount. Instead they charged me MORE money and then a small credit. It ruined our weekend having to deal with all of this and it was Father's Day weekend. I would NOT recommend this host or any of their properties because when there's a problem, they make excuses. They offered to send a cleaning and repair crew out WHILE WE WERE STAYING THERE and my response was I didn't want the weekend further disrupted and the HOST should have been on top of these issues anyway. They charge a 500 host fee and the host is too busy to come make sure the house is ready for someone paying almost 700 a night to stay there? Totally unacceptable.

Great place to stay! Wide open spaces inside and out! The lake is just down the hill! Had a great time. We will be back!

The host was very helpful, friendly and prompt is answering question's. The house is comfortable and the views are gorgeous.
